Traveling to this location for a short stay, Calderside Cottage was a delightful find. The age and charm of the cottage created a unique atmosphere that made our visit outstanding. The cottage itself was incredibly comfortable, with everything we needed provided by our host Alex. The quiet location, just a short drive from the bustling town center, was perfect. Parking was a breeze, and the beds were cozy. We also loved the well-equipped kitchen and the front garden with its small table and chairs. The highlight for us was the covered heated seating area at the back of the cottage, nestled on the edge of a forest. Enjoying a glass of wine in this spot was simply outstanding. Communication with Alex was easy, and we felt well taken care of. We can't wait to return to this wonderful property in the future.

The bathroom was absolutely perfect! It had a bath or shower, which was great for a relaxing soak after a long day. As a fan of a good bubble bath, this was just what I needed to unwind.
I personally prefer bathrooms with separate baths and showers, but that's just my preference.

Upon arriving at the cottage, we were immediately impressed by its charming and tasteful decorations. The hosts had thoughtfully added little touches to make our stay enjoyable and stress-free. The garden was absolutely adorable, and we loved sitting out under the roofed pergola, soaking in the atmosphere. The location of the cottage was perfect, just a short stroll into town and close to beautiful Heptonstall. We also appreciated the ease of parking right in front of the cottage. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We were particularly delighted by the covered heated seating area at the back of the cottage, nestled on the edge of a serene forest. It provided a unique and wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Communication with our host, Alex, was easy, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. we had a truly enjoyable experience at Calderside Cottage.
We did notice that the cottage was a bit cold when we first arrived, and it took some time to heat up due to an inadequate radiator in the corner of the kitchen. Additionally, the guest in the front master bedroom had to wear clothes in bed to stay warm.

Located within walking distance of the town, the cottage offers a peaceful retreat near a picturesque canal. the interior is cozy and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and a quaint seating area. the owners are responsive and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay.
The front door may be a bit tricky to unlock from the inside, but this can be easily resolved with a simple adjustment.

The cottage was small but cosy, with a lovely open plan kitchen, living room, and dining area. the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the covered seating area in the backyard was a great place to enjoy breakfast, with a heater to keep us warm.
We had some issues with the TV as we couldn't get BBC channels, despite trying various methods. the lack of a bedside lamp and table in the front bedroom made it inconvenient for reading or keeping essentials like a glass of water or a book nearby.

The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely garden with a decking area, perfect for warmer weather. the location was also great, close to a canal walk and an interesting walk into town.
There were a few small issues during our stay. the mattresses weren't very comfortable, and the lack of BBC channels on the TV was a disappointment.
